I have a 92Y Supply NCO (newish E-5) that is looking to attend a school for her professional logistics development. She is the only supply person in the HHC and has been working in supply alone and unafraid here since she was a PFC. Aside from the G-4 in another building, she doesn't get much interaction with other supply folks, so I think it would be good for her to get some training before she goes to another unit. That said, I don't really know what kinds of schools I should be looking for in ATRRS. Any tips?

If they still have the subcourses that you could do through the military it gives you a lot of good material to work with.

I'd recommend completing the GCSS Army portions of supply. The link to the training portal is:
https://gcss.army.mil/training

I had to teach myself how to do all GCSS Army Supply portions. End User Manual within has a step by step on how to do any and all functions relating to her access with in it. If she doesn't already have access. Your PBO has the ability to grant it and place her where she needs to be.
Also go to Alms (Army Learning Management System) on the left hand side once logged in, click on search catalog and type in supply
There will be multiple courses she can become certified in there.

Thank you! I have been meaning to mess around is GCSS-Army to get a better idea of the work she already does, so this would be a great opportunity to see what would be helpful to her.

GCSS Army is great, your local G4 civilian inspectors are also a great way to get help and learn, plus hitting the regulations like old school NCOs used to.

I hadn't considered checking with the civilian G4 population, actually. Super suggestion!
As regulations go, I didn't have any luck until I saw your comment, and I found STP 10-92Y12-SM-TG. Looking around in there seems like a good start. Thank you!

Consider non logistical courses that will round her knowledge base as a leader. EO, UPL, RTA,SIO etc.

She has a ton of additional duties and schools already, which is why I was looking for something more specifically suited to her job...but absolutely I agree that those general leader courses have been a huge help!

Your 92Y needs to enroll in the 80 hour GCSS-Army Supply Course in Fort Hood, Tx. This will get an identifier by taking this course. She also need to enroll in the 80 hour PBO GCSS-Army course as well. This will enhance her knowledge for career progression. She need to try to be the PBO NCO as well. This is part of her career map.

I assume she is a BN HHC Supply NCO? Regardless, Is there no BN/BDE S-4 or Battalion Supply Sergeant? Find out who the Property Book Officer is and use their knowledge and mentoring. I’d have to say, most QM CWOs would hopefully be willing to mentor a young E-5; they’ve been great for me over the years. I’ve been retired for 3 years, do they still have Knowledge Center Networks on AKO? The QM/LG community has always been a great asset and tool so hopefully they are still around. Sorry I can’t recommend any courses.

She needs to attend the GCSS-A supply and PBO 80 hour course. Also, she needs the position as PBO NCO which is part of her career path.

First off sir I appreciate you looking out for the interests of your Soldiers, as an officer if you keep that attitude you’ll go far with the enlisted ranks and gain respect quicker! So, obviously GCSS Army is an important one and you can try to get her into LIW DST Training. If you get with your Posts COMET Team or your Division they can inform you of any classes they offer. If you are on JBLM let me know I can help you.
