Vet orgs
I am in the exploratory phase of forming a 501c3 to serve Veterans and/or families of veterans in ways that are either unavailable or insufficiently available now. What programs or services would you like to see? Feel free to think outside the box.

A lot of veterans are motorcycle riders. Some of them can no longer ride due to injuries such as missing limbs. I think it would be awesome if there was a charity who could help convert their existing bikes into trikes or get the veteran a new trike.

I know that if I ever had to stop riding my Harley Road King, I'd get a trike just so I could continue to get the wind in my face and continue the feel of the rumble of a Harley Davidson.

I agree, I often question the financial integrity of some of these entities. The funding and also alterior motives of some individuals within these organizations really are questionable. There are so many programs that slap on a title including the word "vets" and greatly benefit from that title. I just want these organizations to be honest and upfront. That is all.

First I want to see their Income and Expense statements. Some foundations are raking a lot of money with little to show for it.
