Hi everyone. If you haven't been to my profile page you will find I've been in about 14.5 years, been deployed 4 times to Iraq. Probably going to be deployed a few more times due to my particular qualifications and units I like to serve in. I'm Baptist. I believe in a few basic things. The Constitution is ONE document. It is alive. It governs very simple rights EVERY American is blessed to receive. The word is "inalienable". So when I see things like this it makes me mad. You cant pick one amendment and fight for it. You cant just slice it up like pie and put what you like on your plate and just discard the rest. You must fight for THE WHOLE DANG PIE.
IMHO: She is an ignorant racist. She is trying to get her 15 minuets by doing some dumb radical publicity stunt. She really needs to see the error of her ways. Sure, I get it she's a business owner, and she wants to make her employees and patrons feel "safer". I feel they are now LESS SAFE because she's brought the spotlight upon herself, her business, and anyone affiliated with it because she's given the "bad guys" something to AIM AT. She has made herself a target, she drew this attention to herself, and its not just good attention.
All of us on here swore an Oath. This should piss us all off. I get that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and their own viewpoint. Free to say whatever they want, but we all realize that there is a line in the sand. She way crossed it. You cant pick and choose the Amendments you fight for. You have to support and defend the whole thing.

She is discriminating. Regardless of her reasons she is discriminating. She can justify her reasons all she likes, but she is not being factual, she is being biased. Timothy McVey, the unabomber, etc. were not Muslims who committed atrocities on Americans. Though I think all Islamic fundamentalists who are part of terrorist organization should be treated accordingly, an entire culture should not be held hostage because of the actions of a few.

Agreed, I have Muslim friends who vehemently disavow the actions of the terrorists. Many just want a good life and live in peace just like the rest of us and she's painting every Muslim with the same broad brush. That's not right in my opinion.

Unfortunately right, wrong or indifferent this is America and people can and will have the right to be idots and show their true colors. But I tend to agree with both Cpl (Join to see) and 1LT John Martin.
