SFC Jim Ruether - They do it because they believe they have a mission - or in some cases they never expected to win - but circumstances proved them wrong because unforeseen things happened at the last moment - and they inherited the job. No one can fault Trump for being surprised and unprepared - no one ever expected him to win - but between the hate mongering ("lock her up mantra"), FBI Director's repeated PR stunts, and Russian interference - not to mention failure of supportive voters to show up because they didn't believe their votes made any difference - and campaigning in opposition states rather than home states because they wanted a mandate that embarrassed the opposition party and candidates - well, in the end the guy won and he has to build an administration from scratch - particularly since he seems unwilling to retain career senior staff who may have disagreed with him many months ago long before he fell into the office. But the very short answer is that he must believe he has a mission / destiny to fulfill. Warmest Regards, Sandy :)

The hate filled 1lt has a rather complete profile on linkedin. In fact, so much I would vote for her as world president, if not for her Trump Derangement Syndrome that could be considered a mental condition.

1LT Sandy Annala - That's good to know!-I've just known some soldiers, including officers who are not aware that they must handle their political views carefully while serving. I even know of an officer who lost their clearance for a time because of what they had posted on social media. Your post has certainly lead to a good discussion! SPC Randy Torgerson - This was my fault. I am normally pretty thick skinned - but lost patience this week because I was worried about suspected heart attack. This made me more sensitive than usual to name calling - particularly by a guy whose RP account was only recently created - and when he was suspended returned with a fake name "Jo Mama" to continue his gross name calling tirade. My and RP administration suspicion is this fellow was not an authentic member - and may have been a teenager. While you and I may not always agree - I consider you a gentleman and a scholar - and i, for one, am happy to learn from your perspective anytime. Warmest Regards, Sandy :)

I have my political reasons for wanting to block you. Who cares about your driver and your houseman. I'll block them too. I'll block your husband, I'll block your kids from going to school..... SPC Randy Torgerson - My daughter is grown and off on her own. Be careful around my household staff and community patrols. They are armed - even if somewhat lightly armed. The State Department Office Building Guards are restrained but rather firm about asking pedestrians and others to move along due to their concern about terrorism. My husband was 1CAV KIA Vietnam. My partner and I would be patient with you. Where we have some time limited commitments -- we have secondary routes off the property.
