What should be done if the President is mentally ill?

Trump Derangement Syndrome is curable. All it takes is to find someone else to direct your hate towards. When is the last time you heard a Democrat comment on how dumb or incompetent GWB is? No mental health assistance required.

I doubt that it cost us 10 trillion. How much of that debt existed prior to President Obama being elected. Every president elected since I have been able to vote has inherited a large debt and out of control spending. What we need is honest brokers. Where is the lottery money going - it was suppose to supplement education; where is the social security taxes going - it is suppose to be deposited into a trust, the list goes on.

MSG Laura Washington - Top executives, and board of directors may be getting top dollar, but think about how they get their money. Market Shares, those Market Shares are generated revenue by creating advertisements, which plays into viewership for TV Media, and Readership for Print media. When you sell ads, you're selling space and time, which in turn reaches a TV audience, or anyone who purchases advertisement space in a Newspaper, or Magazine. So, how to do this? Easy, play to the lowest common denominator, at this point in American Society people have a comprehension level of a 9th grader. The more drama they can play into, the greater viewership. If they can be the first one to report a story, with as much drama as possible, accuracy of the story isn't as important as being the first to getting the story out. This boosts viewership, which means sales for advertising time increases, and the costs goes up. Businesses pay for advertising space, and time. And to increase sales further, media, will play to whatever they think their audience wants to hear. In other words, a News story on MSNBC, or CNN, or any other TV Media, plays to whomever they think will be willing to tune in, and consume that time, and each ad that's played in a commercial. So, if they can play to the fears of someone with the comprehension level of your average 9th grader, they make more money. Those people, those smiling faces on TV you think are journalists, aren't. They are paid actors, talking heads, media personalities, their job is to act their way through a story, that was written by a journalist behind the scenes, edited, and then given to that smiling face on TV. What's really interesting, is that we were a better informed populace in the 80's, as there were 50 companies that controlled 90% of your media feed. This was before the days of CNN, and the 24 hour news feed. Currently, 90% of your news feed is controlled by 6 corporations. And they all vie for the same thing, to gain money at your expense. SGT Mark Sullivan Thank you for the information. I did know that there was only a handful of conglomerates that control the media (print, radio, and television). I understand targeting viewership, which is why we have reality TV, cooking shows, and infomercials. I used to like the learning channel and national geographic, today I can barely tolerate them Don't really like labels - but the right/conservatives are just as guilty as the left/liberals with playing on the fears and targeting the population with the comprehension and average intellect of a 9th grader. The US is raising a generation that will not know how to spell (we have devices that will spell for us and spell correct), most likely won't be able to read or write unless it is in emoji or text language. What do we do as a society? I don't know. But I did start with my own Family - made my children read. Made my children read to their children. To help with my Grandchildren, go them subscriptions to "lil passports". If you have Grandchildren, check it out. Starting to ramble and get off the subject. So I will end with - I miss the days when we had a more caring and responsible society that was not driven by greed.

I completely agree, the media plays to us, and feeds us crap we don;t need. I used to watch The History Channel, A&E, The Learning Channel, etc... Now they've strayed from their original intent, and play to an ever growing audience of people who want things done for them, rather than do it themselves, figure it out. Sadly, the education system is failing as well, problem is, it's not entirely the teachers faults, I know too many that are are not allowed to teach, or have to teach a certain curriculum, or are not allowed to fail a child that isn't trying. Too many times I've heard those lamentations that a parent runs to the Vice Principal, or Principal, because their precious angel is failing and the teacher won't pass them. Or, we have teachers that would rather teach their own political agendas. Yes, kids growing up not knowing how to read, write, or think critically is frightening, but, imagine a teacher promoting Che, or Castro, or even Marxist doctrine, to those kids, that's even scarier as they don't have the facilities to think for themselves because education let them down. Both sides are to blame for the fear mongering throughout the country. The name calling, the divisiveness, etc... Personally, it just makes me sick. Was never a fan of Trump, and definitely not a fan of Hillary, I voted for neither, and went with a third party, and I don't mean the Green Party. I believe in what John Adams stated about Political Parties, "Abuse of words has been the great instrument of sophistry and chicanery, of party, faction, and division of society"
