I think he should have to do a one hour special on stolen valor, expose and interview chumps who do it, as well as bring to attention the harm it causes service members and vets. And have it done live before a studio audience comprised solely of Purple Heart wearing vets and active duty with multiple awards for valor.

His credibility is garbage now, he's done it all to himself.

The first amendment allows for freedom of the press (media). That was so the government could not prosecute reporters for telling the truth. When they start to lie about things, it damages several levels of credibility. He should be terminated. PERIOD. And never given another job having anything to do with reporting the news.

The upside is his credibility is now completely shot. Meaning for he will likely never work again in news. It's unfortunate because him simply being a wartime correspondent during the invasion is a very respectable thing. He didn't need to try and "glamor" himself any at all.
