Each time he's interviewed/reporting in the future, a message should run on the screen below "The statements of Brian Williams are his own, and do not necessarily reflect the views of this network, our sponsors, actual events or any form of the truth for that matter..." It's one thing to want to be able to relate to somebody else's experiences, it's quite another to fabricate stories related to this particular subject to try to create "street cred."

He will pay in the coin most precious to him, public approbation. Regardless of whether NBC allows him to sit the anchor chair again, his public persona is forever tarnished. In an field where personal integrity, in the vein of Murrow and Cronkite, he will be held as an example of hubris for future generations of journalism students.
