My CoC failed to send up my Medical Extension packet to Division in time and now Retention has to create and send up an annotated extension so that I can continue to be paid and receive medical benefits. My main question is am I still required in anyway to work and report to my unit even though I am technically ETSd and no longer being paid or receiving benefits.

If you are IN the IDES process your chain of command is not responsible for your extension and your Career Counselor cannot help you. You'll just waste valuable time
Once you are in the IDES process it is the responsibility of your PEBLO to process your extension. It is a memo signed by a General authorizing you to be extended. You'll have a new ETS dare and your pay will kick back in.

Don't be a dumbass and think that means you stop showing up to work because you believe you aren't in the Army. Once your ETS updates you are still in the Army and you never left. Plus you can't get things fixed sitting at home and being angry at the world. Otherwise you may learn the hard way that you can make it all the way to the end of the MEB only to be chaptered instead. That's a big oof

A piece of unsolicited life advice that you're going to need real soon as a civilian - Nobody owes you anything, and you will catch more flies with honey than vinegar. Once you're a civilian nobody cares if you become homeless or go off in a corner and fail because you because nobody helped you out. Learn how to be polite and respectful and how to ask for help, especially when you're frustrated

MAJ Byron Oyler - Watch the vulgar language on the boards. I removed your comments.

Maybe a better attitude would help you to think constructively and not offend people who might be able and willing to help

Hard to put that smoke back in the grenade now.
