Get your civilian resume updated because the Army probably is not the place for you.

CMSgt Virgil Horsley passed it once on the beggining but failed twice on the end. I dont know why we need to do to anothet apft if it is recorded. Some soldiers here failed 3 times before they got chaptered

SPC (Join to see) - Saying that you passed it once and do not see a need to pass subsequent tests shows me that problem is not so much your physical fitness level as it is your attitude and sense of entitlement. It doesn't matter if you passed it once, 10 times, or 100 times; if you fail the test, you do not meet the standards. So why did you fail subsequent tests when you passed it once? Did you not put in the effort to continue to improve your fitness level? You are saying that you want to be a Soldier but your actions indicate otherwise. The expectation should be that your will continue to improve fitness and raise your score every test (barring something like an injury). I have had the same conversation with prospective cadets who have told me they want be an officer but they don't put in the effort to improve their fitness. I have told them the same thing. Instead of making excuses about passing it once and feeling that was good enough, perhaps you should have put in more work and you would not be in this situation.

Is there a medical issue interfering with your fitness level? I just ask because that could be something to consider. People do get sick.
But, fitness is a serious part of the job. I spent my share of time in the gym and on the track. I passed a PT test with a pretty decent 2 mile run, but not as good as expected…I was 3 + months pregnant with an early respiratory infection, and didn’t even know it. I was in sick call vomitting later that morning. So…a fit person can have a bad day and still meet the minimum standards usually. That is where some of the comments are coming from. I got tagged for 26 BMI on tape measure and the scale all the time…so had mando PT, but always passed my PT tests.
Regardless of what happens, take what you have learned and move forward. If you get discharged this way, its not necessarily a bar to returning later, or maybe doing something similar as a civilian. I have seen people get it together and return. My grandfather was a rough sailor in WW2, got out, got a degree, and later enlisted in the USAF…and this time made a career out of it. He had to deal some anger /self control issues and clean up his act. It can be done. But it will take some time, if a circle back is in your future.
