What should I do when I have asked my unit several times about my bonus and nothing happens?

It has been around 6 months since I was promised it and around 4 months since I was told I would get it in 45 days. I want to be a respectful/professional as possible and not be pushy but I have submitted my paperwork many times and all I get back is a “let me get back to you on that”. What steps can I take to actually get it without pissing anyone off?

You could do a ticket with DFAS. Check your iPERMS to ensure your bonus Addendum with bonus control number and DD4 are in there. If your paperwork is not iPERMED it will not be paid.

What do you mean promised? Did you sign a contract, with a bonus specified in it? If so, then contact the Retention office and post Finance. Thats the only way to get a bonus/track it.

Yes SGM, I have my contract signed and it clearly states that I should have received a bonus after I completed training.

Don't give up. They can't deprive you of compensation without a good reason. Annoying them by trying to get your compensation is not a good reason.
