A month ago, my wife submitted her background to her Navy recruiter for consideration for Navy ODS, Health Care Administration. Her record is clean, has 15 years experience in health care, plus a master's degree. She is trying to get updates as I have seen ODS dates for FY 2020 have been posted. The recruiters voicemail is full, and he won't return emails. Does that mean she isn't being considered, or does she need to track down their supervisor to get some answers? Any advice would help. If the answer is no, or they don't have an answer, why can't they just say so?

If a recruiter, regardless of branch or specialty or anything like that, stops taking calls, it is time to find a new recruiter.

If only it were that simple. This is a medical recruiter, and apparently the only one she can talk to in this area. At least that's what they've told her.

Trying one time to talk to him face to face. If that fails elevate it. I had a similar issue, the recruiter had been relieved of his position and they had not followed up with his recruits.

I would go track down the recruiter and ask them to their face why they are not returning any calls or messages. Put them on the spot and make them be candid, rather than hiding behind a veil of ignoring calls and messages.
