Go back to training soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines, and guardians to become military members ready for combat and their military skills. Leave the woke DEI out of the military. A uniform service means to be one and not a bunch of individuals.

Encourage young people to serve by providing safety, mental health along with the physical, better technology, unique opportunities, and show how the military will not only provide protection to our country and partnerships but that the military will support individuals to navigate their own pathways during and after service and to continue their journey, investing in a deeper understanding of entire support systems to have the most adaptable, agile set of people seen to date. There is a ton of potential, just has to be tapped into.

Allow veterans access back on bases without all the red tape so our young adults kids see the MWR/ benefits we use and that will imprint the value of benefits they could earn if they choose to serve. Have more Air Show, get the public to come on base for tournaments or fundraisers. Young people are poor and struggling to even move out of their parents house due to the economy. Offer more favorable guaranteed 1st time home buyers during their enlistment, not waiting another 4-6 or even 8 years before finishing their contracts to utilize home lians similar to the VA backed loans for veterans. Promote free tuition and actually let them enroll in online classes, National University runs 4 weeks semesters classes. Make the military worth signing over 4 years of their life and keep promises made during enlistment.

The navy needs to stop doing non rate enlistment. Everyone should have an MOS and given chances to advance in a career. Mom rates is just a degrading ploy to put people in mediocre job settings with little to no hope of achieving anythin. Crewmen and crew women are often overworked, exhausted, and seldom have time to study books and " strike" for a job title (mos). Their career ends without being able to reinlist.

Really help people understand how the military as a whole can be a great career and has benefits that young people can take advantage of. And make contracts shorter for MOSs that don’t have a long AIT so that people will be more likely to atleast try the military.

To inspire the next generation to join the military, it's crucial to highlight the values of service, camaraderie, and personal growth that the military offers. Emphasizing opportunities for skill development, leadership experience, and a chance to contribute to something larger than oneself can attract individuals who seek purpose and a sense of duty. Fostering open dialogues, showcasing success stories, and demonstrating the positive impact military service can have on both individuals and society can create a compelling narrative that resonates with young people.

I have a army service medal for serving during wartime but unfortunately my unit of the cavalry did not go anywhere while I was in there. I was a crewman aboard a Bradley, it is formidable weapon. I served in the early 90’s. It is a unique experience.
