What unit did you serve in during Desert Storm? What base were you stationed out of? Where were you at during the operation?

Headquarters United States Central Command in the office of the Secretary of the Joint Staff.......Death from a Desk. I was lucky, and I would like to thank everyone who did not have the same conditions that I was fortunate enough to have.

Without you guys nothing else would have got done. That's my personal opinion. Our guys flying desk were very helpful in peace and during our tour.

We went over as A Troop 2/1 CAV 2AD, but while we were there we were re-assigned and our unit became E Troop 1/7 CAV 1CD. But we got to keep our 2AD combat patches.

Is that an Armored Division? Sorry I am not that familiar with the Army units. I had a two cousins over there while I was there. One was from Ft. Hood in an Armored Division. I had another cousin who almost got called back into the Navy to go over there. Sort of like a military family reunion.

Arnie....Happy New Year!!! We were actually in two places together. I started with HQs, 2d Bde and with C Co, 4/18th IN. I was also a Drill Sergeant in B co, 2/54th IN.
