What was it called when line officers were detailed to do investigation & assist Army JAG in prepping a separation case?

I'm not sure if it is still done, but I had it as an additional duty in the early 1990s. I found it very educational. "Court Recorder" is stuck in my head, but I don't think that's right.

I've answered my question--it's a "Board Recorder." Can anybody point me to something that describes the Administrative Separation Board Recorder's duties?
