While playing "softball" on the O-2 level, I close-lined myself on the small boat tiedowns and my buddy knocked herself out in a small boat retrieving the ball. We both were reprimanded after leaving medical. :0

in Viet Nam I got to listen to the Sec. of the Army be briefed by MACV advisors in 1971. To a man each advisor told him that we were losing the war, He concluded with 'Keep the faith.'

While in Iraq, 3 month before we got to return home, I was counseled for not making enough money to allow my wife (now ex wife) to be able to fly to Vegas with her friends for the weekend. Yeah! Even my CO just kept shaking his head while reading this to me. Afterwards I asked him if I could get a raise, to which he laughed and then we both signed the counseling paperwork that stated I had in fact attempted to get a raise.
Somehow my wife was able to get me counseled by my Post Commander while I was in a warzone.

We did not have enough water for washing I was told to go to the rear And don’t come back without a truck to hall water. Our truck was in for repairs and supplies Sargent would not give us another. I took broken truck hauls it out past village and blew it up. We got a new truck

A soldier during basic training got called out because her hair wasn’t done. The drill sergeant told her it looked like cats was sucking on her hair

For not giving the greeting of the day when the officer clearly didn’t hear that it was given made us do push-ups for 20 minutes for his bad hearing, we just sucked it up and drove on

My female 1st Sergeant called me into her office to tell me that I was out of regs for tiny, white, stitching on the handle of my black bag. After being dismissed I colored it in with a Sharpie.

I was the one who was consulted. In Iraq I was an HHC commander. My BC came to me and said he had something important for me to do. He rarely even talked to me so I figured it must be important. He asked me to go to the DFAC and get him a case of diet coke. I respectfully explained how that was against the policy, and that I'd be happy to run to the exchange and purchase him a case. He responded that he told me to get him a case of diet coke not tell him the policy. I asked the MSG at the DFAC and he told me the same policy I told my commander. I brought this information back to the BC. His response, "I bet they would have done it for General Chiarelli!" He asked for options, I ended up asking some other folks in the HHC to take a can or two with them each time they went to chow.
