My sister and I loved to play on our Atari system. Our favorites were "Donkey Kong", "Missile Command", "Frogger", and my personal favorite "Space Invaders".

Who here remembers going to the ORIGINAL Blockbuster? There you see shelves full of the ol' VHS movies. Then go to the back and see the NES and Genesis cartridges?
Didn't that feel amazing holding that cartridge for 3 days rental and feeling so reluctant when you had to return it? I did.
Oh and remember what he message read on every VHS rental by the way? That's right: Be kind, please rewind!

Blockbuster, Major Video, Movie Gallery, Hollywood Video.. But before all of those, there were local video stores that had movies and games. In some cases it was your local convenience store or gas station if you lived in a small town.

Hmm, don't know much about it, SGT (Join to see), wasn't too deep into any PS series. I did play some need for speed and GTA!

I'm biased because I worked at Nintendo of America for a few years from high school to college, but the Super Nintendo was a workhorse machine with the best games on the market. Back when the Sega Genesis was giving it a run for its money in the first console wars (long before play station and X-box were even thought of). The Super Nintendo is still extremely playable, was the first system to introduce more than two buttons (it was the first to bring the pointer finger top buttons to a controller), and the list of games is amazing. If I bought one nostalgia piece from the late 80's/early 90's, this would be it. Three words...Super Techmo Bowl.

I was quickly bored with video games, and seldom played any (most recurring ones were Mario and Mortal Combat, don't remember consoles), played GTA 2 a bunch of times until I stumbled onto Half-Life in 1999 on the PC. I've been hooked on a wide range of PC game genres, but the original Half-Life holds a special place in my heart.

Half life, don't even go there! Loved the graphics, loved the sound effects. But more than anything I thought was the coolest was when you came to arena where soldiers and mutants fight each-other. You just stay back and watch the two sides annihilate one another. Sometimes you might get hurt if you get too close to a group, nevertheless that was one of my favorite scenes in that game

Go there?? Valve arguably revolutionized story telling in video games with that title, and then again with Half-Life 2. They have mastered character development without having the player "talk" with the characters, and it seems to get better with each title (sigleplayer games, some communication encouraged in multiplayer games).

Counter-strike was amazing attachment to half life. Until online players started rigging their characters with various invincibility patches. That was enough for me. Great graphics and audio nevertheless

Tiger made a LOT of those little handheld LCD games (similar to the little Nintendo Game & Watch games) over the years up until the early 2000's. I'm starting to add a bunch of them as I find pictures of them. I also have their LED and larger tabletop LCD games listed here. Tiger games were released under the Orlitronic label in France (and possibly other countries). I'm not quite sure if Tiger owned the Orlitonic company, or if they just...
