What Was Your First Big Purchase After Separating or Retiring?

My first major purchase was relocating back home paying for moving truck and furnishing our home.

After leaving the regular army my biggest purchase was my home, on a VA loan too I might add. After finally retiring my biggest purchase was my new (to me) car.

As an ex-Medical Corpsman I needed a white coat, tie, white shoes, scrubs, a stethoscope, a registered medical assistant license, a California X-ray technician license, etc. A Ford Mustang convertible rounded out my job hunting tools. First civilian job was at VA hospital in Long Beach, California.
