What Was Your First Big Purchase After Separating or Retiring?

We bought an amazing house in Escondido CA... all 2300 sq feet of space for my bride and I with a line of sight as you enter the main entrance that looks out into a mountain side full of avocado orchards and a golf course fairway. You feel like you are somewhere in Italy with surrounding vineyards and rolling hills. It is truly a blessing to have finally purchased a home after PCS move to PCS move renting across the fruited plains of America. This Airman has landed his plane in Escondido, California.

My first "big" purchase was a new car! Well, new to me. It was an old 1970(something) Chevy Monza. I bought it for about $700 with part of the driver floorboard missing. Yes, you could actually see the street under you. Nothing a nice car mat couldn't handle, though.
