Two days into retirement I had a sink back up. Turned out I had a broken sewer line, cracked foundation and leaking shower pan. Although I had insurance to cover some of the issues, I had to put out a lot of money to cover the additional costs of bathroom remodel, etc. I returned to work a year later.

A cruise for the family.

I bought my first house. It was an old home with no updates and I had plans to renovate it. My plans exceeded my skills or my budget. That was now 10 homes ago. I've learned a lot more about home renovation. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't take on that project.
