What was your most memorable part of your retirement ceremony?

The Commanding General, Wing Sergeant Major and I were all standing smartly to review the parade when my four year old son decided his presence was necessary to round things out. As the pass in review began, he marched himself up to my side and was probably the youngest person to ever receive such an honor.

It was also my Change of Command, so besides the feeling of taking roller skates off and having my wife get piped ashore with me, it just felt great to know I bought my people home alive.
