What would you suggest to construct the ultimate deployment packing list?

I’ve been in active for quite a while, been settling into fort Bragg life. We’re closing in on deployment and I need a list of essentials to reduce the impending suck haha

Good stuff already in here but I'll add a small, light, cheap headlamp. You don't need one that's 1,000,000 lumens.

Absolutely SSG I have a couple decent headlamps already too. Red function included.

laptop, portable harddrive filled with porn, 3 decks of bicycle cards, 550 cord, gerber, led flashlights, kindle or other e-reader, good pillow, plug adapter because yours won't fit most outlets outside the US, a good rifle cleaning kit, ukulele
pre install a bunch of games you don't need to be online to play
pre install those 1,000 books you were always going to read, but never got around to it, on an e-reader
Bonus: bring a board game like Risk or Monopoly so you can all see how easily teamwork is defeated. Bring "Trouble" because you don't have many pieces to lose.
Also, we weren't allowed cell phones so we all bought a digital camera to document our boredom.

Sir, I’m not sure yet. S3 is working the info and it’s trickling down. Being only 7 months in the shop myself and going “advon” I’m not 100% on the details yet. I just need to ensure that I can have the shop and myself set up so that they can hit the ground running without any snags. (Which would include a few creature comforts, sir) :)
