Last I knew of September 2015 was the wear out date. After that, all personnel will have the ASUs. I may be mistaken though.

SFC White, why would you down vote a response with information? A question was asked and I answered it truthfully. I was not rude, disrespectful or condescending in any way. What I stated is factual. I may be incorrect on the date since there are many MILPERs and ALARACTs that come out all the time.

New Soldiers have been getting issued the ASU right out of BCT, so they have no excuse not to have them.
If you plan on staying in the Army, you would do well to bite the bullet and go get them. Unless your ETS is imminent, not having the blues shows that your commitment to a professional image is lacking. As we all know, in the Army, perception is everything.

BLUF the most current ALARACT 099-2011 modifed the wear out date of the Class A's to 4th QTR FY 15 with a mandatory possession date of 1st QTR FY 15 for the ASU. This superceeds ALARACT 202/2008 states 4th QTR of FY 14 as wear out date.
