When are the results for the FY21 RC CPT/O3 Promotion Board going to be released?

made the list! So now the most important thing is knowing how to put the (P) on my RallyPoint Identifier and also to know the process of actually promoting to CPT? I'm already in an O-3 Commander slot so it should be pretty automatic or do I need to initiate S1?

CPT (Join to see) - actually I just did this for one of my commanders. Send a copy of the list and your UMR to your S1, showing you in the O3 slot and that you made the promotion list. Ask the S1 to initiate the AHRC Form 56-R that they’ll send to the BN CDR for his/her signature. Then S1 will route it all for action.

CPT (Join to see) - also congrats! To add the (P) you have to be on RP on a computer. The option isn’t there on the app for some reason. The (P) on mine doesn’t even show up for me, but apparently it’s there.

MILPER 20-340 says the results for FY20 were released on 20 OCT, so probably along similar timelines for FY21.

Just wanted to give you an update, the FY21 RC MAJ PSB results publish on 30 SEP. So the CPT results might publish in OCT, but I'd honestly lean closer to NOV.

They'll come out after the RC MAJ results, which is what I'm waiting on. The LTC list was a month later this year than it was last year, and the MAJ list is well over a month later this year. The waiting game is the worst.

It usually releases by the end of the fiscal year sometime in either August or September

My DOR was 28SEP2020
I was notified in December 2020.
I got the impression the names were notified alphabetically based on my peers.
With that in mind........ you need to have AT THE READY documentation that proves you are Branch Qualified, have your degree, and are not flagged, and are sitting in a billet for O3. Yea, yea, that should have all be taken care of with the board, but the Army is very redundant with this stuff.
Then your O5/O6 validates through your S1 the final package that you are the only one sitting in your O3 billet, are branch qualified, and are not flagged. That gets sent back to HRC then they finally cut your orders for CPT weeks (months maybe) later (probably alphabetically by last name, yea, sorry "Warren"). But the DOR is back dated to a day actually in FY2021.
So be ready.......... You are going to be sent an e-mail saying "Congratulations", but before you get excited we will need this that and the other, run it through your S1 for processing and an O5 validation. THEN, eventually HRC will get around to publishing promotion orders.

Thanks for the info and break down! When will I go into a promotion status or does that not apply to USAR Officers? I'm already in an O3 billet so it should be pretty automatic right?

CPT (Join to see) - You are eligible as soon as the list gets published, if you are in an O-3 slot and you are TPU. Your DOR will be the date the list is approved by SECDEF. Us AGRs have to wait for our sequence number to publish.
