So I was denied a secret clearance back in Nov 2017 and was told I had to wait one year to reapply. This is making me think it's holding me back from progressing into something other than an 11B. I'm looking to go 18 series or psyops, soon hopefully. Question is, is there a way to get waived the one year wait or do I have to wait until Nov of this year?

A waiver for the year wait is possible if there is a mission requirement for the clearance. Without paperwork showing that you need it (orders for psyops etc) your BN S2 won't be able to do anything for you.

You also might want to check and see if you're one of those who must maintain clearance eligibility even though a clearance isn't required for a specific billet. If you have to maintain and you can't, that essentially tells to S1 to start separation procedures. Seen a number of those on the MIL and CIV side. The MILs tended to get General under Honorable. The CIVs were just terminated unless they could get something off the Stopper List.

What was the reason for the denial of the clearance?
