I just graduated from OSUT recently, and I'll be going to a friends graduation next month. Should I wear my dress blues to her graduation?
Also, its correct to stand at attention and recite the soldiers creed with the graduates, right?

I’m going to answer your question with a question. Have you already reported to your unit? If you haven’t then you’re not going to have DIU on your shoulders nor your units crest on your beret. You will then look like another trainee/graduate and could possibly be lining yourself up for some hurt. At the end it’s your friend’s graduation and I’m sure the last thing you’d want is to be singled out by a NCO or a DS as being ate up in front of everyone.

I should be reporting to my unit before her graduation next month. She actually wants me to go in uniform which is why I'm asking in the first place.

PFC (Join to see) Then just make sure your uniform is in accordance with 670-1 because she wants you to wear it and enjoy the graduation.

Had a similar situation recently when I went to my nephew's graduation from Air Force BMT. I agree with SPC Niphipali on this one. I didn't go in uniform because I didn't want to take away from his accomplishment and I knew an MTI would blow me up for something or other, or mistake me for a trainee that was graduating.

Jut go in a button-up and slacks... takes away the confusion. You're going for HER graduation and I guarantee that someone will spot something on you and fuck your life up

We do not currently have dress blues in the Army, we have ASU and Mess dress. It would be acceptable to wear your uniform.

It's fairly simple. It;s her graduation, not yours. Wear your civvies and go support her on HER day.

Completely up to you. But like SGT (Join to see) said if you don’t have the unit crest on your better and DIU on your shoulders that could lead to a world of hurt just by confusion. But if you did report to your unit and have all that, and your Class As are squared away then by all means do you. And to answer your question about the Soldiers Creed, it is appropriate to stand at attention and recite it with the graduates. Especially if you’ll be wearing the dress uniform.

I have attended several military graduations and I wear my "blues" to proudly show solidarity with the graduate. Usually, when the drills spot my uniform, I am escorted down front for a great seat.

I would let your friend "have her day"...just dress nicely when attending her graduation...she'll be happy just to see you there.
