Hello, I’m not in the Military but my spouse is in the National Guard. He’s been in for six years and some months. He resigned for six more years for $20,000 but he was supposed to get half within 30-90 days he says. This was around June 2018. He hasn’t received any money at all. He had to do a PT test, get his weight and all to qualify and he passed everything. His unit doesn’t give much information. The only thing they told him was that some system is down. I came across this site on google and decided to give it a try. I’m hoping to get more than just “The system is down” kind of answers. I mean, he’s been getting told the same thing every month. Is there a specified date on when it’ll be fixed? Just a little something more logical or a more direct answer would put our family at ease. That kind of money would definitely help out us two and our little girl get to where we need to be. Thank you!

It has been 8 months since he re-enlisted and still no sign of his bonus? I would recommend he utilize the Chain of Command and their Open Door Policy to get this issue elevated higher to those that can effect corrective actions.

Yes, he had to go to a breakfast event during drill to resign. This was the first weekend of June 2018. He has made text/calls to his leader to reach the Captain but she keeps coming back with the same answers or she won’t answer at all.

(Join to see) - If he is not getting any action/responses from his immediate commander, he can go higher and use the open door policy for his Battalion Commander and/or Command Sergeant Major.
