I write a lot on the website Quora. There, a veteran asked this question: How do I deal with the bitterness that has been festering inside of me since I've returned from the Middle East?

I answered, but part of what I advised was speaking with other veterans. I'm curious where other veterans today reach out and find community they can open to about shared military experiences, positive and negative.

Sgt Jonathan Davis If you like posting on Quora, then I think you will love doing so on RallyPoint, which offers a lot of the same use but is military and veteran only.

I look forward to reading your contributions. Welcome to RallyPoint!

Keeping in touch with friends from your deployment is a great asset. If one lost ties most military forums are a good place to find someone to talk too. RP is a great place. You could even find guys from the unit you served in and also find military members with combat experience like they have. A large network is a good place. RP being the largest military network I a good place to start off at.

There are TONS of Facebook groups. For sure look into those. Also look into doing a fellowship with The Mission Continues. http://www.missioncontinues.org
