I belief your assignment is "The needs of the military come first", so expect intercity or rural locations until you can "qualify" for better placement.

If you request an area where recruitment is difficult and retention is low, you will most likely get your wish... The stations and battalions that process "walk-ins" are typically manned by 79R's. If you want to be a recruiter in paradise, your best bet is to: go where they send you, kick ass, network, and then convert to 79R (only after some successful quid pro quo on duty assignment). By that time you will be aware that if you trip on your ****, they will send you to a place were career recruiters go to die.
