Bottom line a supply specialist can be assigned to any unit any where. Asl long as that unit is responsible for a hand receipt, property book, ordering supplies you can be assigned there. No saying that there are some unit's that may require you to have a security clearance first.

Pvt George, as a retired 92Y For over 10 years on top of other MOS’s I can say without a doubt you can & will be sent to any unit on any base anywhere in the world that your Security Clearance will allow you the access to be in. You will do the same training, for the most part, that the unit you are in does. So, for instance when I was in the 101st in an Infantry unit I trained with them and got my EIB (even though I wasn’t allowed to wear it, it is on my ERB), when I was at Ft. Rucker I was in an AIT unit and went to Cadre Support school, if you go to an AirBorne unit you will probably have to go to jump school, etc. It is one of the best & worst parts of being in Supply, Public Affairs & similar MOS’s: you get to go to all kinds of units, do all kinds of training & earn all kinds of badges. However, many of them you aren’t allowed to wear & soldiers in some jobs look down on you because YOU aren’t one of THEM (their mos), which is sad but true even in the 21st Century.

Unless you have orders cut to Bragg then don’t bank on going there because they Army will send you where they will send you for a first duty station. Second, 92Y can literally go anywhere.

PVT George,
As a 92Y10, you are in a VERY essential MOS that could be stationed in a Signal Company, an S-4 shop, an Engineer Company, etc. The possibilities are endless.
