Has anyone done ROTC instructor duty? I've looked on HRC website for a good POC for this position and it says to volunteer through AKO. I'm looking for a solid POC for ROTC duties. Branch has been no help with getting this assignment, looking for a way around them. Thanks.

There is no way around your branch, the branch manager is responsible for selecting the Soldiers who fill ROTC slots. Also, as pointed out, they are generally not for SSG's. Certainly never 92Y SSG's. These are for Senior NCOs who have experience developing officers as PLs already, who are then assigned to be their PME instructors as cadets.

There are other positions, I know we used to work for ROTC in the summer and run the FLC course at Knox, and back when advanced camp was at Ft. Lewis we ran the Audie Murphy course, I assume you are active, we were reserve and where put on orders.
