Where can I find any information on housing (on or off-post) and a training calendar for Fort Riley?

The training holiday calendar can be found on their public website at http://www.riley.army.mil. You should become very familiar with that site, it often contains the most up to date information on schedules, special events, weather advisories, and many other useful things.

Transition from Texas quality of lifestyle to Kansas is a little to adjust to and a big difference. First adjustment is seeing a lot of trees again and allergies.. On post housing is great and they now have privatized housing which is nice.... brand new as of Aug 2015. For those heading to Fort Riley, KS for the first time it's a big college area and Kansas State (Purple ever - Wild Cat Country). A lot of outdoors activities, wildlife and more from the briefings I had so far. Sounds exciting and ready to work. Duty First!

It's great so far and we love it however everyone warns us about the 40mph winds and snow.
