Also, my friend was never in, hesmpurely civilian, his wife doesn't want him in, believe me, I've suggested it, please do know that. However, if I could possibly hook him up with a local, state, or Federal civil service organization with direct hiring authority, he's looked at USAJOBS, also believe me. Trust me, its gotta be private, or civil service, no active duty, Reserve, or Guard, his wife pretty much laid down that law, no pun intended. Its just that my wife and I've known him and them nearly two decades now, which is why I've tried to alsomprevail on family for their companies, to see if they might be able to use him, as well, honest. Any other thoughts, I'd be glad to elaborate further, many thanks once again.

Many thanks, he's considered that, please believe that. He is definitely licensed in Florida, good to go, its just that his family and that of his wife are in that other state. For whatever weird reason, admission by motion is, as he'd explained, very highly restrictive there. Apparently, short of a miracle, only cases he'd be involved with directly involving Florida, or possibly Federal aspects, might be allowed to count toward the three years of exposure his state apparently needs of him, from what he'd told me. That's whynhes seeking to get back to Florida, since his license is there, that I know for sure. I'd just wanted to elaborate on that for any other thoughts you and/or others might possibly have. I know that's a weird Catch-22, however, that is definitely his predicament, which is why I'm trying to find him creative alternatives as to how to get him, his wife, and their kids, back down there, that's all I'd meant to explain, many thanks.

Just wanted to add, as space had been limited in question spot. I'd suggested staying in state he's in and tryungnfor civil service there, or doing Federal law as private attorney where his FL license could, I'd though, and he basically also realizes, might well be accepted for Federal court. He'd had a serious science bent, so he and I had also chatted about intellectual property law, though he'd been mainly involved with personal injury (PI) law. The friend of him using him in the other state can't use him as an attorney there due to his state not taking his license, with the restrictions on how he'd be able to get credit through work to be waivable for the essay part of the bar exam where he is, in the other state, to be waivable. Federal law cases I'd thought also, as he basically agreed, might well be, the thing is, he's justmpining to get back to FL, he thinks that's where he, his wife, and his kids belong. I'd asked family to try referring him there, no luck thus far. I'd thought about him going FL private or Federal law, as private attorney, corporate or hospital chain law, maybe Federal civil service also. I'd thought about maybe USCG, or the services, as civil servant, possibly also Natl Guard as civil servant. As I'd said, his wife would prefer he not go the JAG route, per we, however, I'd obv realized JAGs often have civil service attorneys in their staffs, as do area defense counsels (ADCs), I'd merely heard of such other aspectsnbesides JAGs alone per se. That being said, any thoughts anyone might be able to offer might obv be most appreciated, he's basically going to waste where he is as a legal assistant/paralegal, the nest he can get where he is, at least for now. He'd also thought of trying to segueway by applying to the Dzc bar, since DC basically has crossover with essentially all the states and/or territories, it'd merely been a thought on his part. I'd actually thought intellectual property law, possibly also taking the USPTO patent examiner exam might be good, going back for an LLM, that odd supplemental masters lawyers freq get as well, maybe being faculty, the thing though is that with his wife and kids he needs income at this point, so, combined with his yearning for FL, I'd merely thought someone here might have some worthwhile thoughts I might possibly give him, that's all I was trying to explain. For whatever good anyone might be able to do in terms of suggestions, of course, as I'd said, many thanks, obviously, if any further explanation might be wanted and/or needed, please, of course, so far as possible, I'd be glad, obv, to try to elaborate, so far as possible. All I can do is !merely just get places for him to be able to submit to, of course, never having been an attorney. As I'd also mentioned, I'm total perm disabled, so this is, of course, jot for me, I'm merely seeking to help him as a friend, and just thought others here might have some creative thoughts so far as I might seek to ask for, much appreciated, certainly, for any possible input, of course.
