Where can I find decommissioned Coast Guard units (e.g. USCGC Durable WMEC 628)?

The USCGC DURABLE was decommissioned in SEP 2001 along with the CGC COURAGEOUS. The DURABLE was given the the Country of Columbia and now has a new name, but don't remember it. The COURAGEOUS was given to the country of Sri Lanka. I met with the representatives from each of those countries to go over the ship's conditions.

CDR Ford is correct. The Durable is now the Columbia ship "Valle Del Cauca".

If they haven't been sold for scrap or sunk for a reef, Probably in the yards at Curtis Bay. I know of one ( CGC Ingham ) that is a Museum. The ship I was one, CGC Halfmoon ( WHEC 378 ) was taken to Curtis Bay, stripped and then sold to an Italian company as scrap. There were 5 311's that were turn over to the South Vietnamese Navy. At the end, 4 got out and went to the Phillippines. At least one eneded up in the Phillipine Navy ( there are getting 378's these days ). The 5th one may still be in Vietnam or sunk, probably the latter,
