I have been DA selected for DS, I feel like it would be an honor to serve in that position. I have a type II offense which according to the commander's checklist and the policy is an automatic disqualification from the assignment. Drill branch doesn't know yet until the packet is submitted, I guess yet I was DA selected. Has anyone dealt with this in the past or know about it, I was cleared through BH just trying to get ahead of this to see if I should start the appeals process now wait until I get the rejection notice?

Good luck. I wasn't qualified to be an AIT PSG (which at the time was going through DS Branch, not sure if it still is). Got told by HRC to let the Academy know when I got there (Even had my BDE Commander personally report to actual HRC building at Fort Knox and tell them to take me off assignment). Let the academy know, they told me since I was already there, I was going to do school, and let HRC know when I got back to my unit (TDY and return). Let HRC know when I got back to my unit, and they said I had already passed the school, so I was going to PCS and let the unit know when I got there. Let the unit know when I got there, then got cussed out by BN CSM, then by BDE CSM for not being willing to do the job that I was not qualified for, and why the hell did I report to them if I wasn't going to do the job. Then given a shitbag assignment in a back corner working beneath my rank and out of my MOS.

Like I said.... good luck.
