While assigned to 269th Signal Company, 504th Signal Battalion, 11th Signal Brigade, my company (the entire Brigade pretty much) received the Meritorious Unit Commendation under DAGO 2009-32.
For those of you out there that want research your units of assignments and see if your units were Awarded commendations while you were assigned, go here: https://www.hrc.army.mil/asset/16333
Do a search for your unit name/number as per your orders at the time.

I was just assigned to a new Command. This unit has awards and want me to wear them on my ASU'S. My question is, is it a requirement for me to wear the ribbons or do I have a choice. I just feel weird putting something on my uniform that I didn't earn.

I never knew about this resource, thanks! I just found out that one of the two units I deployed with was awarded a JMUA a couple of years afterwards.
Of course, the discouraging part is finding out that it was the ate-up unit that got one, while the squared-away unit I thoroughly enjoyed being with received nothing. Just further confirmation that the Army's award system is completely jacked up...
