My particular issue is with Navy uniforms. If any branch can get their ribbons from a certain website or location, then feel free to let me know.
I was recently awarded my Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, which is great and all, except my uniform shop doesn't have any on hand. I would like to avoid wearing the ribbon that was handed to me by my OIC, so as to keep it pristine.
Does anyone have a site or something where they get their ribbons? I know some folk order the "flat" ribbons. Is there any reason those would not be authorized?
Thank you in advance for your time.

I purchase from them all the time. I like the flat ribbons, and think they look sharper than the regular ribbons. They don't fray like regular ribbons either. The appurtenances are always straight and centered (a lot better than I could do)

I've used these guys before: https://superthinribbons.com/ Had a great experience and their customer service was excellent.

Navy Exchange uniform shop on-line should you wish to have the same purchasing experience as on base. They are fast and no minimum purchase required. My local AF base and Army Guard uniform shops are not Navy but do carry some items, another possible source outside of the normal uniform shop you purchase from.

Online is OK but you usually pay more in shipping than the ribbon actually costs. Check your local Army Surplus store. For example here in Tulsa, Oklahoma our Surplus store has a whole cabinet of ribbons, badges, patches, and medals.

I got flat ribbons, they looked fake, especially in an official photo, they looked photo shopped.

For ribbons that are common with the Marine Corp I would go to grunt.com. They're friends fly and competent.
