This is a fun survey to get an idea of how diverse we are as a service. Different regions of the US have different cultures and traditions, different speech patterns. However, it is interesting how much we grow as a person and service member when we are exposed to the world and other's views. So where do you come from?

You were born in the dirt, SFC Joseph Weber? Wow. No wonder you joined the army and you work on tracked equipment. Familiar... "turf"... ?

OK. At first, I thought you were COMPLETELY outside of your mind, SrA Matthew Knight, then I saw that you're a weather forecaster in Montana.
I was born in Langdon... Grew up in Rugby... Drank my way out of UND and into the Navy... Graduated from NDSU after the canoe club. I do miss the plains, but NOT the 6-inch deep compacted snow wheel ruts in February...

Knowing a few people FROM Texas and having a brother that moved to and then married into the state I gotta agree. You can find folks in Texas that echo each and every other corner of the nation (with their own Texas twist on it of course).

Preach it man. However, I recall our Governor a while back coming out and saying that Texas considers itself a Western state. We all know it's just "The Republic," but I feel like we're more Western than Southern. Maybe a blend of both?

Born in Rochester, NY but I can't live on Lake Ontario any more. Too many trees! I've been in the West almost 30 years now.
