Which ACFT standard do you need to meet to graduate from an 11 series Basic/OSUT, Gold, Grey, or Black?

So just to clear some confusion, I understand the ACFT is a graduation requirement now and you need to pass it, but we also still do the APFT. My question is since the ACFT is based off MOS and is colored Gold, Grey, and Black, for an 11 series Basic/OSUT do you need to do the Black(Heavy) standard to graduate or are they just looking for you to pass Gold (Moderate) standard? I know it’s not fully implemented yet and a lot of it is for diagnostic purposes so how does it work?

So here's the thing: you only need gold to pass, but just passing is as good as failing you need to be aiming to max every ACFT/APFT. Especially as you are an 11X (B/C later on). You are probably going to be part of the 22week cycles and by the time you graduate OSUT the ACFT will be fully implemented. So my advice as a current DS aim for excellence. Because success is never owned it is only rented, and the rent is due every day.

god damn, SSG. "Success is never owned it is only rented, and the rent is due every day." Where did you get that quote? I'm going to start using that.

Excellent advice and quote. You are an Infantryman you are gonna want to be as physically fit as you can be. Not to say any other MOS shouldn't do the same. Always reach higher. Get in those extra reps. Some day it may save you or a battle buddies life.

Ok, here is the thing. You are in that rut that is seen all too often. Soldiers asking what the minimum is they need to pass. Screw minimum. Go out there, bust gut, puke your lungs out and give it your all and then 25% more. You should be aiming for a higher than black even though all you need is gold. Basic is about minimals, AIT is about the standard... you should always aim above the standard. Doing anything less sets you up to fail and just wastes the DI's time and wastes a slot for a motivated troop.
BE that motivated troop.

facts. Always understand the difference between the minimum and the standard. If you hit gold, you passed but you're wrong. Same with the APFT; if you get a 180, you passed but you're wrong. Always strive for 270 at the least.

11 series is always gonna be heavy. But as said before you don’t have to worry. The DS will politely remind you every day.
