Which assignment would you choose JCU, SFAB, JCSE, or WHCA?

Good afternoon, SSG. My spouse was recently selected for a position within the WHCA as a 91D, and he is currently finishing his packet to turn it it. I am wondering what is the experience like? Where do you live? Off post, on post? We have a family, so I have heard that this position demands a lot of time away from home, which we do not mind. How long did it take for your packet to get approved? He received a called from HRC saying that he was a candidate, so does that mean he has pretty good chances to get accepted?

I'm here now. Great place to go if you want schools (SERE, Air Assault, Ranger, etc), also the deployments are great. You get to support SF, Rangers etc. and it's a good stepping stone to other high speed units.

SSG (Join to see) id talk to someone who is currently on or recently come out of the assignment. Otherwise I’d just focus on being a stud soldier. I knew two signal officers who were incharge of WHCA. They were just studs. No way around it. They also had SOCOM experience.
