Which duty station has better units for a 68W, Baumholder or Ansbach? I’m stuck between the two duty stations and I’m not sure which one would be better off for me unit wise.

Baumholder was the last place one wanted to be in the 1980s. Serial Killer Jeffrey Dahlmer was stationed there, so it might be haunted.
I spent 7 years on Wiesbaden Air Base. Wonderful Wiesbaden.

Choose Ansbach. It is closer to larger cities. Baumholder is mainly a training area and there is not a lot to do there in my opinion. Frankfurt and Nuremburg are a close train ride away, and the beer is better in that area! LOl!

I agree. I was stationed at Nuremberg Army Hospital. I had friends stationed in Ansbach. Great post and town!

I was stationed back in Germany and we shut down baumholder for 10SFG to move in back in 2012. But I would not want to be stationed there again.
