My window just opened up and it's time to pick where I want to go again, currently FT Carson not a big fan of the state nor the post. I did have the idea to submit an SFAB packet and go back to JBLM but would like to be a squad leader a little longer before I jump ship. Where do you think an 11B married with four kids should go? There's Campbell, Riley, Hood, and Bliss any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks.

This is something you need to talk to your family about. Especially since you have kids. I will say that the school system at Fort Hood is real good, but I can't comment on the other places. This is something you have to talk to your family about.

Ft Campbell is about 65/70 miles from Family friendly Nashville.

Honestly I would go with Ft. Bliss, I promise you won’t regret it. I just got my orders to ft. hood and I talked to my unit, we on rotations every 9 months.

You might want to go back to JBLM I was there from 1974 through 1978 and 1986 1988 and at that time it was called FT Lewis and Mcchord AFB. I was discharged in 1990 and spent 16.5 years in the Army and I truly miss it alot but now I'm working at Boeing company in Everett Washington where I worked on the 777 aircraft got hurt several times after my injuries I changed jobs and now I issue out tools to mechanic's been doing it for 4 years told time that I been with the company it will be 9 years in may. I am planning on retiring 10 November 2022.

I can't believe I'm saying thia, I'd pick F t Hood. Seems like that isthe post I've to in the ststes. The arrea has changed a bunch sinceI was stationed there. Note sure about gov't quarters, but usually available off post. Facilities are great and Lake Belton is close if ya fish.

Being married with family, your choices should center around them & especially your children, you and your wife would need to discuss choice's duty based on what would best benefit them, may require sacrifice however sounds like your service to your Country is about done, which ever, you will always be a Hero to your family.

I grew up near Riley, have been stationed at Hood, and am currently at Bliss. Bliss has been my favorite as a father. So many oportunities for my children on post we cannot do them all. The shooting is great, camping in the mountains in NM wonderful, and the only thing I am not really doing is hunting. School system Far East sucks.

Look into the areas and see what has the best amenities for your family. Check housing, schools, recreation, child care, job market, ect. And weigh the pros and cons with your family.
