Bring back the kiosks for travel pay compensation! I haven’t filed for it since it went back to paper forms!

SGT Michael Merritt
When I worked at the VA they had a couple people working travel pay, near impossible section to find. The kiosk was contacted through a 3rd party and the contact ran out and didn’t renew so here we are giving up money because they process is too confusing

Ummm the question was which process could be easier going digital, going to a whole office isn’t digital, the kiosks that were in every office and clinic was more convenient than trying to figure out where the website is, especially for vets with memory issues!

Closed captioning during VA telehealth appointments for hearing impaired veterans.

I just wanted to let you know that I'm pretty sure by law, with the ADA, closed captioning has to be provided if it's needed for the hearing impaired. You may want to be sure to request it before any future appointments.

The VA tablet that was given to me has closed caption installed on it so they already do this.

Ummm, Major? I know you are an officer and all so maybe I can help you. You don’t have one.

Ps Sgt David Fortin with what I have I can get as many as I want. Currently that number is zero. Rumor has it there might be a waiting list.

The amount of time you have to wait before you get an appointment. Mental health is making appointments 3 months out.

Length of treatment programs for PTSD and substance use is only 30 to 45 days. The minimum amount of time should be 90 days. The VA is treating it like a factory. Get you in and out as fast as possible.

It used to be 72 hours. And occasionally a week. In reality, 6 months would be ideal. Serious issues like these cannot be treated overnight. Unfortunately there are no staff available to properly conduct this type of treatment so we must turn to the programs others have developed in our states or apply to others out of state if they have an opening, PO2 Daniel Clisham
