Primarily because they were associated with my childhood where everything was new and exciting. I associated Sean Connery with what I knew as a kid, but could not relate to as well as I could with Timothy Dalton. Connery resonated better with my parents, however Dalton was my generation's James Bond. He played the role in 1989, the prime experience for me to remember. I thought that was the coolest shit ever.

Just as most people remember their first car, first date, etc., we remember our first action heroes. For me, Fess Parker was Davy Crockett, Todd Andrews was Major John Singleton Mosby, and Sean Connery was Commander Bond, 007, HMSS.

I think Sean Connery was the best Bond but I think SFC Joe Davis could pull it off !!!

I have read a couple of the books and Daniel Craig gets it closer than most of them, plus, I like him in some of the other things he has did. (Don't tell my Wife or Mom, Sean has their hearts!)
