I have always liked THE LONG GRAY LINE (1955); THE LONGEST DAY (1962); PATTON (1970); FULL METAL JACKET (1987); SAVING PRIVATE RYAN (1998) and BAND OF BROTHERS series which came out in 2001 on HBO. Those are just some that came to my mind right now, I am sure you have others. I also like the movie YANKEE DOODLE DANDY (1942) which wasn't really a military movie per say, but it covers the life of George M. Cohen who gave such great support to the military. What are your favorites?
