For instance, if I wanted to go into the CIA or FBI, would 35 P help me get there?

That’s a very it depends kind of question. 35M will set you up for jobs but you’ll also need a ton of experience. But really any field you’ll be competing with people who’ve been doing this for over a decade.

Nope. Forget about CIA, and FBI isn't intel, their LE. Get a degree in computers or accounting.

35M & 35L if you like field ops. If you are a brainy-ac (i.e. super-smart) 35F. Remember you are going to get old someday. If you don't want to sound like a castanet every time you walk up the stairs pick something non-airborne.

SSG (Join to see) - I understand your recommendation and Airborne was a blast for me as well. Nevertheless most actual intelligence work is done by exceptionally well educated (a lot of PhDs) individuals who read and most have never heard a shot fired in anger. Special activities and foreign intelligence collection are exciting, but you may very well suffer a lot by the time you reach 60. While you are young 60 y/o seems a long time off. Trust me, it isn't.

CPT (Join to see) I hear you Sir, but for anyone to get real experience, time on the ground has to be done as well. Might as well get it done while being young.

35F is entry level in the MI world. The brainiacs are more in 35N/P/Q, 17C.
But generally, if you washout of an MI AIT (but are in good standing), they let you reclass to 35F and take another swing, because no one should fail 35F school.
