Your secondary MOS is completely irrelevant to the active duty Army. You are assigned, promoted, and utilized only as your Primary MOS in the Regular Army. If you want to switch to the old one, there is a formal process to go back to it, and it can be denied.

HRC will most likely not approve a reclass into 12T, assuming there are ever any class seats. The MOS is frequently over strength at lower levels, meaning they simply promote to meet strengths, as opposed to accepting reclasses at E5P. I don't think they even accept E5P, but I don't have ATRRS open in front of me.

But, again - class seats. They just don't often have class seats. If there was a class seat out there, and you were on here posting about it, it would have been gone by the time you got to you car after leaving the Career Counselors office.

i wish that was true to a degree.....once my leadership found out that i was Prior Service 91B w/ H8 i was pulled from the Abrams line team and placed in a "91B" slot to be recovery on M984A4 Wrecker......i dont mind it, and yes i can submit a DA Form 4187 and get changed over.

SGT(P) (Join to see) um, no that's not the way it works. You can't just submit a 4187 to change your MOS, it's an entire reclass action. Reclasses are actually part of my MOS, I've done a few hundred at this point.

Whether your leadership puts you in charge of a wrecker, in the training room, or makes you the PLL clerk, the Army is still utilizing you as a 91A, assigning you as a 91A in the future and promoting you as a 91A.
