For those of you who workout in the gym with weights, which workout routine or program works best for you? I.e. full body split, German Volume Training, supersets, giant sets, etc.

Ive heard really good things about CrossFit but have shied away out fear of puling or straining and getting sidelined. What has your experience on that score been?

As long as you are in the hands of a knowledgeable coach who instructs proper technique, and as long as you scale the weight/reps/movement to something that is appropriate for your level of fitness and experience (don't let your ego get the best of you), you will not get hurt.

Cross fit always looked fun and challenging. Never tried it. I just stick to my gym membership.

I've gotten great results out of P90x followed by Insanity. I know infomercials can turn people off but the programs work.

I've also gotten great results from P90X in the past and recently I tried T25 and also got great results.

I'm all about strength and power. <10 reps with singles, triples, and fives being my norms with compound exercises.

No CrossFit, that's just wrong.. If you do the workouts right then sure but them crossfitters have a reputation of terrible form and halfing all the movements required to complete that excersize. Now that's said I really enjoy following Kris Gethins workouts and also Dr. Layne Norton's PH3. I've done that and two of Kris Gethins I've lost 8% body fat and have gained 15 lbs of lean muscle in the past 8 months.

I've lost nearly 50 lbs in 9 months. I don't take Herbal Life, prework out, or some crazy fat burning pill. I don't do cross fit or something even remotely close. I have lost weight and I am continuing to lose weight through regular hard work by adopting proper eating habits and adhering to a rigorous work out plan. I'm 39 years old. I've supercharged my metabolism by eating particular foods and not just what, but when and how much. I do take a supplement but it's protein, a multivitamin and super b complex. I track every calorie and every gram.

I split the body into three hemispheres: upper, middle and lower. I work one section once a week. I do cardio before and after each muscle development session. My workout sessions are also backed by healthy eating habits.

I'm a huge advocate of functional fitness along with heavy posterior chain. Been a real big fan of Corey Gregory's programs lately. His squat everyday for 5 weeks was insane, and I've also completed his 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 as well as his get swole with Corey Gregory program. While doing that I was also still doing crossfit 3 days a week.

I do it all. Just so I can see how they all manipulate my body and see which look I like best. I'll do anything that's legal, safe and fun.

What is do it power bodybuilding! I do a regular split but I'll start out working my way up to heavy working sets. 5x5, 4x6 depending on my the percentage of my max for working sets. After that I'll still hit the body part with progressive sets like a full workout. Its been a lot more fun and I get to lift heavy pretty much everyday.

I use Periodization for my Main Lifts, and FST-7 for my assistance exercises. Basically it's Powerbuilding which in my opinion is the best. Gained a lot of strength and a lot of mass doing this. Of course I also follow a strict diet.
