PCSed 12 times, probably twice that many TDY. Was never deployed, unless you count three hardship tours to Korea.

A lot, especially considering I was only in for five years!
- BCT at Ft Leonard Wood
- AIT at Ft Gordon
- few months Reserve time at 304th Civil Affairs Bde in Philadelphia, went active duty
- DLI at Presidio of Monterey
- AIT at Ft Huachuca
- CEWEOC at Goodfellow Air Force Base
- finally, permanent party duty station at Ft Hood
- JRTC at Ft Polk (blech)
- Camp Commanche, Bosnia (deployment)
- ETSed from Ft Hood
But my husband was still in (and by now I'm a DA civilian), so...
- first son was born, moved in with mom while he went to Korea unaccompanied
- Ft Riley (deployment)
- Ft Jackson (drill duty, ugh)
- Ft Riley (deployment)
- Ft Carson (deployment) - TDY to Leonard Wood for me
- Edinboro University (ROTC instructor)
- Schofield Barracks - TDY to Campbell for me
- RETIRED! back to Ft Carson
- And now moved to St Louis where the kids/grandkids are
Lots of NTC rotations (more him than me, obviously)... Field time probably adds up to a year or three... He's had a bunch of TDYs. I've done more TDYs as an Army civilian than I did as a Soldier. I *think* we've spent more time together than apart, but maybe not.
And a bunch of in-town moves mixed in. Hopefully only one more move for us once we figure out what we want to be when we grow up! ;)

14 PCS moves in 24 years (four in first five years, as first two ships both changed home port). Six deployments, but lost track of the number of 70-88 day at-sea excursions. TDY's in the dozens.

I lost count early on and hit the "Point of no Concern". I know we were married about 5 years before we hit the more time together than apart mark. I do remember post 911, I scarfed up enough air miles to go premium on two different airlines.... by March. I do remember that airfare for one TDY totaled $18 grand by the time I got home. My profile shows the major assignments but I'm sure it's typical for a 32 year career. My air miles kept piling up when reserves as I'd travel about twice a month for my Fed job and 1-2 for reserves. Always a drill somewhere and an ADSWs to keep meeting mission. Really got interesting during my PACOM years, especially going on loan to State or riding the Blue Ridge as 7th Fleet Engineer.
