gotcreally sick with high fever at Infantry OSUT. Drill Sergeant zoomed me to the hospital is his own POV. I was delirious with a 106f fever. He saved my life with his actions.

I already gave a response but in reading others this came to mind. I was Army, had orders for Vietnam. 3 of us caught a military hop on an Air Force plane from Offut AFB in Omaha to Vanderburg AFB in California. We had to get to Oakland to fly to Vietnam. A nice Air Forse colonel offered us a ride in his staff car, an Econoline van to Oakland. We 3 Army Pfc's walked to the van. An asshole Army major was in the van and told us to get out. He said that it was only for officers. When the Air Force Colonel arrived , he threw the asshole Army Major off and told him that us Army PFC's were his guests. The Colonel got us to the Army in time to depart to Vietnam on time. He was a great guy while the Army major was an asshole
