My husband finished AIT 7 weeks ago and is a hold at his unit still because my EFMP paperwork still has not processed through to Germany. Now they want to send him unaccompanied. Is there someone I can contact in Germany to see where in this process my paperwork currently is? I feel very overwhelmed with this process because it seems that no one will tell him anything about what we need to do/how much longer it will take.

You would not contact Ansbach, your husband needs to go through his unit to track the paperwork and process. It is USAEUR who orocesses EFMP. His CHain of Commands responsibility.

Jessica Anthony EFMP is saying 30 days as a normal wait time. Of course it may come back sooner if there is no EFMP issue, or take longer if they are confirming access to specialized care. I would also ask if the soldier has had a levy brief and been given the preparation for overseas move packet. Have to imagine that was part of his hold at AIT. His chain of command needs to help him as he's never worked this issue before. Concurrent with all this is command Sponsorship for overseas movement, where the Army in Europe confirms they got housing, medical, school space, and other community support enablers to accept your family properly. EFMP is usually the long pole in the tent.
